The Barols travel aboard the
SS United States
in the 1950s!

One of the best ways to step back in time and travel aboard the legendary liners of yore is through vintage home movies.  I have been collecting these films for several years now, and have made a few of them available here on my site.  From the SS United States, the Queen Mary, Rotterdam V, all the way to the Normandie and Ile de France, these ships come alive when viewed through the eye of the amateur photographer.  After experimenting with various formats for streaming videos, I have found that the simplest way to present these movies so that virtually all web browsers can enjoy is by posting the videos to YouTube.com.  To view the films, just click on the photos and you will be redirected to a special page with the YouTube version of the videos embedded therein.  I welcome your feedback about this format, so please email me here!  On this page are a few movies from my collection, and there are many more to follow.  And please note that I have hours upon hours of unscreened footage to edit and transfer, so check back when you can!  Above all, it is my sincere wish that you enjoy these little journeys back in time.  Bon voyage!
